About Celebrate Fairfax, Inc.Events101 is produced by the non-profit community-based organization Celebrate Fairfax, Inc. (CFI). With a mission of "the celebration of Fairfax County and its Communities," CFI produces Events101 with the intent to strengthen programming and quality of life for the people of Fairfax at a grass-roots level.
CFI has successfully produced the Celebrate Fairfax! Festival since 1982. Formerly known as the Fairfax Fair, Celebrate Fairfax! is the signature event for the organization, and is also the largest program designed for all of the people of Fairfax County.
The Celebrate Fairfax! festival has been recognized numerous times by the International Festivals & Events Association, through their Pinnacle Awards competition. In 2006, CFI received four Pinnacle Awards in categories ranging from Best Sponsor to Best Outreach Program (for Events101!). CFI has received more than 15 awards since 2001 including being named a recipient of the Bronze Pinnnacle in 2005, given for overall comprehensive quality of programs.
CFI is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based at the Fairfax County Government Center. More than 400 individuals representing more than 125 Fairfax-based organizations and agencies have enjoyed the benefits of Events 101 during its first five years.
